This delish recipe comes from Mommy’s Kitchen.  Thank you, Tina!  I hope you don’t mind my tweaking your recipe…..

1 onion, sliced into rings
1 pound hamburger, 80/20
1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
potato rolls

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Spray bottom of  11×7 baking dish with Pam.  Scatter onion rings on bottom of dish.  Using cutting board, smash hamburger into one flattened rectangle.  Sprinkle with seasoning salt.  Transfer to 11×7 and lay on top of onions.  Add a couple of tablespoons of water to increase the steam.  Using a straw, poke holes through meat, so that the steam and onion flavor goes through the meat.

Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.  Remove from oven and blot top of meat with paper towels to remove excess fat.

Top with cheese if you want.  If you do, return to oven (covered) for a couple of more minutes for the cheese to melt.

Remove and let meat rest for five minutes.

Slice into patties to fit the potato rolls.  Use your spatula to pick up onions and meat and place each patty on bottom bun, top with a pickle slice and roll top.

Sliders!  Yum!
