Baked Fried Chicken – like KFC!

Found this recipe on Our Life Uncommon.  It was touted on Pinterest as “just like KFC but baked” so of course, I had to try it.

Place chicken tenderloin strips (1 lb.) in bowl of milk and let soak for about 30 minutes.

Mix in a large bowl:

1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. seasoned salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup flour
2 tsp. paprika

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.  Cut 1/2 stick of butter into pieces and place in 9×13 pan.  Melt butter in preheated oven.  Make sure butter covers all of pan.  Lightly spray pan with butter-flavored Pam or Crisco, so that there are no “dry” spots.

Shake excess milk off of chicken and completely coat in seasoning mix.  Place each piece of chicken in pan. Cook for 20 minutes, turn chicken and cook for 20 more minutes.  Make sure you check the temperature to be certain the chicken is at 165 degrees F.
