My Recipe Books

I’ve created a couple of recipe books!  I have been PINNING so many things from Pinterest that it made sense to start printing the pages and keeping them.

What I do is print the pages off from the original link (I follow it from Pinterest) and then I print the recipe and photos if there are any.  Sometimes there isn’t a PRINT option on the recipe, so I highlight and print the recipe.  Afterwards, I write down the name of the blog and the date of the entry, so that when I prepare the dish, I can give credit.  Each page goes into a page protector.

My page dividers are card-stock.  I purchased a box of pastel colors:  blue, pink, green and yellow.  One goes into a page protector and there you go!  Dividers!

I found the really pretty template for the covers (and sides, which you can’t see) at Prudent Baby.

Jan 28 004The big binder (3 inch binder) is divided like this:

My smaller binder (2 inch binder) is divided like this:

  • Drinks
  • Quick Breads
  • Yeast Breads
  • Donuts
  • Muffins
  • French Toast
  • Pancakes
  • Oatmeal
  • Miscellaneous Breads
  • Miscellaneous Breakfast Foods
  • Cakes
  • Cupcakes
  • Cookies
  • Brownies and Bars
  • Cobblers
  • Miscellaneous Desserts
  • Made in a Mug

My labels I purchased at Amazon; they’re really nice and you can remove them and change them around if need be.

I think I’ll need a third binder.  My smaller binder seems to be overwhelmed with recipes.
