in KCK right now

We made great time on the highway and arrived here in KCK just about an hour ago.  Watched some tv with my mom and decided to come downstairs to their computer room and sign-on.

Guess what Daniel did last nigh?

Sprained his ankle!

Not during basketball practice, either, but afterwards on the way to the car.  He decided to JUMP off the sidewalk and twisted his left ankle.  We drove to Urgent Care but their Xray machine was not working so we went to the ER.  I wanted to just take him home and ice it, but he kept complaining too much that it was as painful as when he fractured his wrist.  So I went ahead and we went to the ER.  Thankfully it wasn’t crowded, he was the third patient.  After icing it and taking an Xray, the doc had it wrapped with an ACE bandage, told him no PE or recess for three days and to go home and have some Tylenol.

He told me this morning that he barely slept ONE hour all night.  Yeah, right LOL

Poor kid.

When we came home from the ER, hubby asked him if he was so bored that he was trying to break every part possible and we all laughed.  He’ll be in pain for a couple of days, but should be walking fine by Saturday.

Okay, that’s my update from KCK.

Tonight is the wake and rosary…tomorrow morning the funeral Mass is at 10 and then we’ll have the services at graveside, the luncheon and then drive home.  We should be home by 6.
